내 수다

There are as many nights as days,
and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course.
Even a happy life cannot be
without a measure of darkness,
and the word happy would lose its meaning
if it wee not balanced by sadness.
밤이 있으면 낮이 있게 마련이고
일 년 중 밤의 길이는 낮의 길이와 같다.
어느 정도 어두움이 있어야 행복한 삶도 존재한다.
행복에 상응하는 슬픔이 부재한다면,
행복은 그 의미를 상실해 버리고 만다.
